Throughout the week, Oxfam Shop volunteers were on the look out for their favourite festival fashion items. This year we had three shops to choose from, packed full of beautiful handpicked items. We spoke to a few of the shop staff about their best buys.
Molli Edwards chose a fabulous short sleeve retro cape. She loves the 60's vibe and thinks it's "perfect for all seasons". "I love this look and it's also reversible with a red and blue check lining. This has to be my favourite, it's so cute and the shape of the sleeves is great".
We caught up with Jasprit from Chester, she showed us her fab light tweed jacket. "I love tweed, and I love our current collection". Jasprit volunteers in Oxfam's high street shop in Chester. "This jacket suits my style perfectly; when I saw it I had to buy it."
Another superb choice came from Oxfam Southport shop manager, Becky McWilliams. We loved the light cream colour knit. This is perfect for a summer festival, as well as the high street. "I thought this would fit with the Glastonbury vibe". Becky is always on the look out for things that nobody has and unique items that can only be found in charity shops.
There are a varied mix of styles within the shop, some old and some new. Sophie Lake from Truro chose this stunning floral 60's dress. This is a timeless look that works so well in the summer sun. "I can seem myself wearing this on a night out or at a festival like Glastonbury."
Hannah Spencer from Manchester saw a beautiful coat with Burberry lining. "This coat is a great example of why I shop in Oxfam. This will last for years and it's only £30." Its not too heavy and ideal for summer evenings. We think it's fab and suits her gorgeous style.
Check seems to be a popular choice this summer. It certainly caught the eye of Stefanie McCartney from Glasgow. She's wearing an Oxfam Festival Shop bought check shirt. It's got a great baggy, loose feel to it and works well with a summer outfit. "I love shopping at Oxfam, and I am really loving my new look".
Francesca from London chose a very stylish black translucent top. This can be worn with a variety of fab combinations. "Every Oxfam shop is different and you will always find unique items like this". Francesca currently works in Oxfam's Kings Road shop and knows what to look for when hunting for that special item.
