Get in shape this summer without even stepping on a treadmill. This is a quick and easy way to spruce up an old vest or item of clothing with your shape of choice. I have chosen a triangular shape and animal print material.

YOU WILL NEED

Patterned Material

An item of clothing old or new

Cotton

Sewing machine

Tape measure

Chalk

STEP ONE

Decide on your design, shape and size. Take your chalk and tape measure, decide where you'd like the design on the tee. I chose a triangular bunting shape. Mark a line at the top of the vest, I measured 12inches. Measure the middle point at the bottom of your T-shirt and chalk lines to that point from the line marked at the top.

STEP TWO

Take the material and mark out your design using the same method as step one. Leave approximately 1cm excess on each side of the triangle. This is so you can stitch it, to avoid fraying.

STEP THREE

Fold over and pin the material. If you have time it is better to iron along the lines as it is neater.

STEP FOUR

Stitch the material where you have pinned it.

STEP FIVE

Pin the material to the vest and pin in place.

STEP SIX

Tidy up any excess cotton and go rock your new vest.
