Festival Take Over: Glastonbury Style Spotting Part 2

23rd Jul 2014

With Glastonbury celebrating contemporary preforming arts, it also acts as Europe's largest catwalk for those who love fashion and music alike. The sun beat down over the farm for most of the festival, although unannounced heavy rain storms brought out the thousands of waterproofs and umbrellas, with many festival goers rushing to Oxfam's on-site shop to purchase protection from the rain! With Ellie Goulding tweeting Hunter to provide willies, when her and her band were caught out, the majority of us made do with bargain willies, and £1 ponchos to keep our sequins and glitter dry! Cressida Bonas rocked the 90s denim shorts and scrunchies, Lily Allen caught peoples eye in brightly coloured tie-dye, and Sienna Miller went all out in a Dolly Parton-esque spandex jumpsuit!

We hit the festival armed with our camera to seek out some fab festival outfits, these were a few of our favourites:

Student Sophie caught our eye in this festival friendly tie-dye jumpsuit. She and a friend had bought matching outfits from a vendor on site, and they both looked stunning! Armed with simple shades, an easy wearing cross over bag and giant umbrella she looked amazing come rain or shine!

We loved Leanne's high-street boho look. The layering of her simple tiered chiffon dress with an embroidered kimono made her outfit festival practical and bang on trend. Topped off with a practical yet stylish fishtail plait she really gave us hair envy!

GlitterArty member Natalie was on-site with her mum painting murals around the site. In between her giving us a glitter make over we managed to get a snap of her amazing outfit! Her brightly coloured layers set off her amazing sequin vintage jacket and colourful personality!

Freya looked amazing in her high-street/vintage fusion outfit. Her easy-wearing flattering vintage black dress is topped off with a practical lightweight Uniqlo jacket. Her beautiful headband blew us away, that she made herself using easily available art store materials.

If you bought any amazing clothes from the Oxfam Online Shop we'd love you to send us a picture via Instagram or Twitter. We will be taking our style-spotting feature to Womad festival next week so look for our team and camera out and about!
