As long as music is around the band t-shirt will remain in fashion. Whether it's an obscure Indie band or a Classic Rock band from your parents' generation, a band t-shirt instantly declares your awesome taste in music to the world.  Here are just 4 ways to style you favourite band t-shirt.

The Classic
There's the classic way to wear the band t-shirt.  Think old school rocker.  Pair your favourite band t-shirt with and a denim shirt over the top.  If you're wary about trying out the double-denim look a general rule to stick to is to keep the colour of your trousers darker then the colour of your shirt.

The Casual

A lot of band t-shirts are loose and have little shape to them, which makes them perfect for relaxing in.  That doesn't mean you can't style up your t-shirt though just because you're being casual.  I like to roll the sleeves of large unfitted t-shirts up and pair this with leather trousers (or even better leggings) for the perfect lounging around the house outfit.

The Festival
With Glastonbury tickets on sale this weekend it seems acceptable to discuss the summer festival season.  Festivals are the perfect occasion to rock a band t-shirt and the summer is a great time to wear a cropped t-shirt.  Add some high waist short and wellies to channel your inner Kate Moss.
(If you like this look there's a Rolling Stones T-shirt available in the Oxfam Online Shop right now)

The Party
Band t-shirts don't have to be constrained to casual occasions.  It's easy to dress up your favourite t-shirt for a night out or party. Start with your band t-shirt and transform your look up with a fitted pencil skirt and sequin jacket or blazer.

However you choose to style your band t-shirt you're likely to find that your t-shirt is a great conversation starter.  Be prepared for lengthy discussions about best albums and favourite tracks.  The really great news is there's loads of band and music t-shirts available on the Oxfam Website and in your local Oxfam shops right now.  From Take That to The Beatles they've got your taste in music and fashion covered!
