The Manchester International Tattoo Show takes place every February at the famous Manchester Central (formerly known as the G-Mex) and this year, its 14th, the Oxfam Festival Shop is going along too. Over the past few weeks, the team at Oxfam Wastesaver in Batley have been style profiling the event and putting together a collection. Here are just a few of the items that you should look out for…
A whole range of leathers, denims and quirky one off pieces such as this Easton Varisty jacket are set to appear on the rails at our Tattoo Show shop. Pick up a well-chosen jacket to complete your look and keep you warm. Stylish and practical!
2. Leggings and jeans
It's all about the prints and textures in our legging and jean collection. Make a statement in a pair of red cut-out skinnies (Middle) or channel understated cool in a pair of textured black leggings (Far Left).
3. B-Bop Rockabilly Dresses
The 40s rockabilly look is making a long overdue come-back. One of my favourite revival pieces from this trend is the b-bop and rockabilly dress such as the black and red spotted one (above) that will be making an appearance in our shop.
4. Vintage Headscarves
A vintage/rockabilly look wouldn't be complete without a headscarf. Here are just a few of the colours and patterns that we've got our hands on. Not just for putting in your hair, these scarves prove to be a very versatile accessory as they also look great on bags and tucked into shirt pockets.
A classic feature of any Tattoo Convention and a definite statement purchase. Can be worn as a top in its own right or underneath an outfit. Much more fun than the modern day spandex!
6. Shoes and Accessories
We only have the one pair of these underground creepers, but aren't they fabulous?! Another feature in our shoe department is a pair of vintage Mary Jane Dr. Martens. You can check these out plus many more stylish pieces during the build up to the show on the Oxfam Instagram channel @oxfamshops.
If you want to see the team & stock pop by on 28th Feb and 1st March. Finally, if you are going to the Tattoo Show or want to know more, you can also get in touch through our Twitter page @OxfamFashion
