The Co-operative Bank

Wanting to attract new customers whilst helping end poverty, The Co-operative Bank has been partnering with Oxfam since 1995 to make it easy for customers to donate money to a worthwhile cause. Just by taking out and using their Oxfam credit card, 15,000 customers have been able to make regular donations to Oxfam at no extra cost or hassle.

Heathrow airport

Since 2013, Heathrow Airport has partnered with Oxfam to engage its customers and staff through a dynamic programme of fundraising activities. From racing planes across the Atlantic on bikes, to night-time marathons along runways, Heathrow has brought its community of 76,000 colleagues together and raised £1 million for Oxfam in the process.

The Innocent Foundation

As an official Emergency Response Partner, the innocent foundation has had a direct and lasting impact on thousands of people affected by disasters. Teaming up with Oxfam has also given the company a great way of engaging their employees and customers, inspiring them about the work of the innocent foundation and Oxfam.

Through the successful 'Buy Books for Syria' campaign, our partnership with Waterstones has helped the high street retailer build engagement with its customers, drive sales of over 125,000 books and boost its reputation, whilst also supporting our Syria Crisis Appeal. By purchasing a range of titles from Waterstones' stores customers have helped raise £1 million for Syrian refugees; enough to deliver life-saving clean water.

This partnership has transformed the security, speed and efficiency with which Oxfam can distribute life-saving funds to people affected by natural disaster. In the wake of Typhoon Haiyan, 2,700 pre-paid cards were distributed to the most vulnerable families who used their Visa cards to buy immediate necessities such as water, food and hygiene products. For Visa, working with Oxfam on this programme also supports its mission to provide financial access to everyone everywhere, putting themselves at the heart of economic recovery in new markets.
