Cambridge Walk 2013

Sunday 6 October : Chilford Hall, Cambridge

Thanks to all our walkers and volunteers

Over 400 walkers came out on Sunday 6 October to help use raise lots of money for Oxfam's Emergencies Fund. It was a beautiful autumn day and the walkers enjoyed some ideal walking weather in Cambridgeshire countryside around Chilford Hall.

If there are any walkers out there who haven't paid in sponsorship yet, please send it in to boost us towards our target for this year. See below for details of how to send the money to Oxfam.

Paying in sponsorship

Please send collected sponsorship money to Oxfam as soon as possible. The totals raised by 1 December will be used to determine the walkers who have won the prize(s) for most sponsorship raised.

How to pay in money

Walkers are asked to raise at least £50 in sponsorship. If every walker achieves this we'll raise over £30,000! Here are some tips to get you started:

Set up an online fundraising page
Virgin Money Giving is quick and easy to use. Just enter your details, how much you hope to raise, and send the link to your family and friends, and add it to the bottom of your emails.  You can even add a photo to brighten up your page.

Sponsorship form
If you prefer the old fashioned method, you can download a sponsorship form to print and pass to your friends and family.

Matched giving
Ask the company you work for if they have a matched giving scheme.  If they do, ask if they would be prepared to match the money you raise pound for pound and you could double your sponsorship! If they don't, ask them if they'd be interested in setting one up.
