Oxfam said G20 leaders need to dig deep and generously fund the humanitarian aid effort in Syria and neighbouring countries:

Oxfam spokesperson, Emma Seery said "We commend the UK's contribution to humanitarian relief in Syria, but now other G20 countries need to dig deep and help fund this unprecedented crisis."

"Two million have sought sanctuary into neighbouring countries and millions have fled their homes inside Syria. They need food, water, shelter: the very basics of life. With the UN appeals less than half funded the rich world is short-changing the aid effort.

Seery said, "Syrians need the G20 to agree on a way forward. Leaders must set their differences aside and get aid to those who desperately need it."
