In India I have quite a few members of family over there - aunties, uncles, cousins and their children.

When we heard about what was happening, we immediately started messaging each other, all our cousins, to see if everybody was okay.

My Dad was ringing home in India almost daily.

The situation out there is really bad. I was only just learning the other day, how one of my friends had 10 people in his circle in hospital. It's really bad. It really got us worried.

For me, it’s really good to know that Oxfam is in India right now. They are on the ground, they’re able to respond and help directly to the people like my family.”

I started to think a lot about my family and making sure that they are okay and doing well and healthy and seeing what else they need. Seeing what we can do from here.

For me, it’s really good to know that Oxfam is in India right now. They are on the ground, they’re able to respond and help directly to the people like my family.

Oxfam India

Oxygen supplies in boxes with Oxfam labels on them

Boxes containing oxygen concentrators in Oxfam's Kolkata offices prior to being delivered.

They are providing equipment such as oxygen, food and all kinds of medical supplies. They still need your help.

I have seen so many appeals during my time, working here as a Shop Manager, and this has to be one of the worst ones I've ever seen. It's touched me so much that I have been selling lots of my own items from home and donating to Oxfam's appeal and making sure that they can get to work.
