Why run for Oxfam?

Image of a man fishing

Your £400 sponsorship could be raising funds to teach 5 people how to fish. As the saying goes, ‘Teach a man to fish, and you’ll feed him for a lifetime’. But your sponsorship will also give both men and women life-changing survival skills. Oxfam provides training on improving their catch and teaches business skills so that they get the best possible price for their fish at market, which means a brighter future for their family.

Brian in South Sudan is no stranger to heavy lifting – he shifts three tonnes of water on his bike, every day. Thanks to Oxfam supporters, he now shifts three tonnes of clean, safe water on his bike every day. Watch the video to learn more about Brian, the amazing three-tonnes-lifter.

Countdown is on!

... until you cross the start line in the Brighton Marathon!
