Looking for some inspiration to your campaigning? Wondering how it fits in with what others are doing around the world?

Well we might just have the thing for you!

Oxfam Scotland is pleased to host a visit from Orkhan Ali, a Programme Officer with Oxfam in Azerbaijan.

Orkhan has great experience working on projects that promote good governance in poverty alleviation. He's involved in lobbying for policy change and works with government departments to encourage and support cooperation for new initiatives and to develop fund-raising strategies that contribute to the sustainability of such projects.

His experience includes projects focussing on water and food security.

We will be pleased to welcome Orkhan at a variety of events during his time in Scotland:

- 'Making a Movement' skills share event is an opportunity to hear more about Orkhan's work and to share experiences of campaigning. This event is a chance for groups from campaigning organisations across Scotland to both develop ideas and share solutions to ensure effective campaigning. Please register for this event here.

- Orkhan will also be speaking in Dundee, Glasgow and Linlithgow - these events are open to the public, for more detail on these events please email Sara Cowan.

- Orkhan's Scottish tour will end with a keynote speech at this year's Oxfam Live event on November 1 in Edinburgh, for more details on this event please click here.
