David Dipnall was born in Scotland during the early war years of English parents. He received his education at Portsmouth Grammar School on the inspiring South Coast of England. He subsequently went into Engineering Design but gave this up in 1968 when he and his wife, Audrey, travelled the world, settling in Australia for five years, during which time David Dipnall worked in product design and later taught at a Grammar School. On his return to England in the summer of 1974, David Dipnall became a professional artist in response to the demand for his work. He is now an established leading landscape artist with his work regularly on the best seller list. David Dipnall is now regarded as one of the best traditional English country landscape painters. He now lives and paints on the Isle of Skye.

The painting is 70 by 45cm wi the frame surround is 10cms each way
