Internally the book is in fair to good condition commensurate with age with very lightly tanned, but clean and bright pages. Hinge slightly weak at front endpaper but otherwise binding is firm and tight throughout. Pen inscription on front endpaper dated August 1944. Very small edge tear to ffep and small corner crease to half title page - otherwise no significant defects. This small collection of poems by men serving in the RAF and FAA, published while the war was entering its critical final stages, is both poignant and inspirational. Contributors include H.E. Bates, John Bayliss, Gervase Stewart, Henry Treece, A.A Levy, Hugh Popham, John Pudney and many others.
