Product description

This book was published in 1937 by the Oxford University Press and is without a dust jacket. The boards are dark blue with impressed text in gold on the spine. There is some bumping to the corners of the boards and the top and bottom of the spine. The boards show signs of wear from use and have a few nicks/ marks. There is some discolouration to the top of the pages. There is the name of a previous owner on the front paste down this is along with two rusty marks from where a homemade protective cover was fastened together. These marks are mirrored on the front free end paper, these marks are also present at the back of the book. Due to the condition of the homemade cover it has been removed. The first five pages have foxing, this includes the title page and the preface, there is also some foxing to the last five pages at the back of the book. This does not effect the clarity of the text on these pages. The rest of the pages are bright and clean with no rips/ tears or folds. The hinge is strong and tight
