A long-lived book in many editions. Is this the first edition of 1720? Not dated. 115 pages. "Sold by Messrs. Owen, Robinson, Coper, Griffiths, Corbett and James." In good/fair condition for its age. Seven? gilt bands on spine and gilt frame to boards. Fragile covers, but appears whole with no loose pages. Some small worm holes from page 80. Clean and bright inside. Boards rubbed, a split starting - see images attached. An excellent inscription in copper-plate "John Mills's Book 1759" inside front cover and "John Birch" on fep.. The author's name has been excised in ink on the title page - see image attached. Not ex-library.
