Alpine Plants: The Most Striking and Beautiful of The Alpine Flowers.
Chromolithographic plates are based on watercolour paintings by Alexander Francis Lydon (1836-1917), a well known & respected English watercolour artist, illustrator and engraver of natural history.

Original blindstamped, blue cloth, gilt floral device at centre of front cover.
Size 7.5" x 10.25"
Condition:
Covers: Some bumping on corners. Grubby in some areas (not centre areas). Back has one mark (will probably clean off). Spine area is dirty and has softening at edges. Two tears about 1" length.
5 leaves loose. Rear hinge gaping off.

Absolutely gorgeous detailed illustrations, all in good condition (see photos).
Extremely detailed descriptions (including Latin names) & planting uses.
