This book is a narration about the famous Passion Play performance of Oberammergau that took place in the year 1870. Henry Blackburn writes about his journey to Oberammergau and the witnessing of the performance, that is put on by the local town people.

The book is in good fair condition, especially considering the age. The beautiful hardback cover is fabric covered and does have some wear to the corners and edges of the spine. The internal pages are all in good condition and attached to the spine. They do have some discolouration and scorching to the edges, as seen in the pictures.

The book has numerous illustrations throughout.
