Thirty seven volumes from a forty one volume set. All published between the 1820s and the 1830s. All are green quarter leather bound with gilt decoration and gilt titles on the spine, by the appearance it seems that they may have been rebound at some time, but not recently, the marbled end papers look as though they are from the 1920s to 1930s. The top edges of all the books are gilded. Internally there are some minor signs of foxing. All are in good condition but have signs of wear (see photographic images). They consist of: Volumes 1 to 12 'Novels and Tales', Volume 12 is missing. Volumes 13 to 18 'Historical Romances', Volume 16 is missing. Volumes 19 to 25 'Novels and Romances'. Complete. Volumes 26 to 39 'Tales and Romances' Volumes 29 and 30 are missing. Volumes 40 to 41 'Introduction and Notes'. Complete. the whole set, when packaged will weigh approximately 35 kilograms, overseas shipping will be very expensive.
