Publisher: Cassell and Company Ltd, London, Paris and Melbourne, c 1890. Large Hardback, 789 pages, illus with many wood engravings from drawings by Selous Priolo and Friston. Cover in red decorated boards with gilt titling to spine and black titling to front and black designs to front and spine, is in decent condition commensurate with age with a little bumping and fraying to spine extremities, bumping to corners, fading to spine and some shelfwear related marks on back. Internally the book is in generally good, tight condition commensurate with age. Some foxing and other marks on endpapers and front free endpaper is creased, ditto for rear endpaper. Some light foxing spots here and there throughout. There are a few neat margin notations and underlinings here and there in the earlier part of the book. Wonderfully illustrated with many full page wood engravings plus many others in the text.
