Publisher: Thomas Nelson and Sons, London, Edinburgh and New York, c 1890 - 1900. Hardback, 301 pages, illustrated. No dustjacket. The lovely cover, in dark and light blue pictorial boards with gilt titling and decoration to spine and front, is in very good, bright condition for its age with just a little shelfwear and bumping to spine extremities and corners. Internally, the book is in good, firm, bright and clean condition with no tears, creases or significant marks. Neat pen inscription on front endpaper. A little foxing here and there especially to frontispiece tissue guard. The four full page illustrations are in good, bright condition. Overall a nice copy of a beautifully presented book from a golden age of book production.
