An attractive set of the 26 Waverley Novels by Walter Scott in 13 volumes. Published Edinburgh: W.P Nimmo, Hay & Mitchell. No exact date but circa 1860.

This edition has green marbled leather boards with green leather spine and quarters with gilt patterning on spine. Marbled inner cover and page edge.

Sir Walter Scott was a Scottish historical novelist, playwright and poet. The first English language author to have a truly international career in his lifetime, Scott's works are still read today, and many of his works are considered classics of both English and Scottish literature. During his own era, and for nearly a century subsequently, the works were among the most popular and widely read in Europe.

This attractive collection is generally Good, aside from the spine damage on several of the books (see pictures) and some wear to boards. Otherwise these are nice, generally clean copies.
