An Adventure of Ex-Detective-Inspector Geoffrey Boscobell, late of New Scotland Yard.

1936. First Edition. Inscription from the author thanking the person identified as the advisor on the book.
Signed by the author in March 1936. Includes stamped postcard from the time. Possibly a Presentation Copy.
A Scarce Crime Novel. Was not listed in the English Catalogue of Books. Believed published in 1937.

Author Cecil Melville Wills (1891-1966) who was an English author whose series character was Inspector Geoffrey Boscobell. Boscobell resigned from the police force after his wife and child were abducted and disappeared. Between 1934 and 1961, he published more than twenty-five detective novels.

Original dark blue cloth, titles to spine, blue on yellow background. Map of the location of the crime on the end-papers.

CONDITION: Blue cover corners bumped, but otherwise good. Some minor browning and spotting to page edges. Pages are clean and unmarked bar inscription and signature. (See photos for details)
