Dr Carpenter's Introduction to the Study of the Foraminifera [1862]

£70.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

Published for the Ray Society by Robert Hardwicke in 1862

A detailed and fascinating study f small fossils and their construction. As well as numerous sketches within the text, there are 27 pages of full-page, high-quality wood engravings. An interesting and exciting book. Formerly the property of the Leeds University Library this is a high quality and detailed volume. The Library has confirmed that they have released this book and are happy for us to proceed with its sale. Will be of great interest with an interest in palaeontology.

There are several stamps from the Leeds Philosophy Society.

Unfortunately there is some damage and the covers have come away from the body of the book. Some wear on the corners, however all pages appear to be complete and are still securely bound, generally in a clean condition. Overall in a very reasonable condition for a volume that is over a century and a half old.
