Ella Lee - with dedication, letter from author and author's edits

£400.00

Product description

This delightful book by Charles E Moyse, subtitled Glimpses of Child Life, contains seven poems and 12 black and white illustrations.
The inside front page has a dedication 'with the author's compliments' dated 1921.
Pinned into the book is a handwritten letter from the author to Miss Jackson, the person to whom the book is dedicated, remembering the author's visit to her school. This letter refers to the fact that the final proof did not come to the author for correction. We have found a number of manual corrections!
The publication date is 1910.
The hardback cover is worn but in good condition for the age of the book. The binding is sound. The endpapers are yellowed, but overall the book is in good condition for its age.
