Published in 1946 this book includes black engravings by Gwenda Morgan and a foreword by Christopher Sandford. The 24 page hard back book contains Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard, a poem by Thomas Gray, completed in 1750. The book is in a fair condition for its age with scratches to the hardback cover, minor dogging to the cover's corners and fading to its spine. Inside there appears to be some water damage to the pages, which have also have rough and uneven edges, some minor brown spotting throughout and creases to the edges of some of the pages. The binding is stitched and is noticeable but none of the pages are coming loose. The price reflects the book's condition with other copies of the book from the same year starting from £115 on AbeBooks.
