Product description

Textbook for students taking a University Honours Course in Physics. Originally published in 1928, this is the 1949 reprint of the third edition.

The dust-jacket is simple grey paper with the title and synopsis printed in black on the front contained within a plain ruled box. The spine, which is discoloured over the years, also has the book details in black print. On the rear is a list of other related publications for Physics students. There are some small nicks around the edge of the jacket and a larger tear, about 1.5 cm long, at the bottom rear outer corner. The price is printed on the front so there is no price corner to remove.

The book itself has dark maroon cloth covered boards with a few mildew marks. There is a slight convex curve to the main text block and rear board however, the front board is slightly concave. The corners are not bumped. The book details are printed on the spine in gilt text. Both hinges and the binding are in good order. The large fold-out diagram pasted to the rear board is intact and undamaged. There are no inscriptions or marking as far as we can see. The binding is generally still quite tight indicating the book has not had a lot of use.
