Histoire de la Revolution Francaise (2 volumes, 15th edition) / MA Thiers

£29.99

Product description

These French language volumes are in very good condition for their age. Volume 1 has a number of circular stamps as a book from the Biblioteca Cicolante Palermo. Bothe sides have been signed by a previous owner, Francesceo Gambino in 1877 on the front free end paper. Both volumes are heavily foxed on their end papers, and have lesser foxing throughout consistent with their age and substantial tanning, but the text is easily legible throughout. Volume 1 has a few marks. In Volume 2, the binding has come apart at the title page for the bottom 6cm of the book's 26cm height.

These books contain Thiers' history of the French Revolution in French, preceded by "Resume de l'Histoire de France, jusqu'au regne de Louis XVI" by F Bodin, and contain a number of black and white plates, including a portrait of the author
