A popular and illustrated account of the magnificent historical, architectural and picturesque wonders of the counties of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland (before Independence). With roughly two thousand beautiful illustrations, many of which are in colour, of ruins, castles, beaches, cathedrals, monuments and more. This edition, not thought to be the first, is not dated, although suggested dates are between 1920 and 1924.
Apart from a tear to the spine of volume 2 and staining to the back cover of volume 1, this set is in quite good condition. There is minor age-darkening of inside pages but the binding is secure.
