I, Flook: An Autobiography (1962)

£9.99

Product description

Paperback, published by Macmillan. First reprint, 1962. Written by George Melly with drawings by Wally Fawkes (“Trog”).

‘Flook’ was a comic strip which ran from 1949 to 1984 in the Daily Mail. It was drawn by Wally Fawkes (of the jazz group Wally Fawkes and the Troglodytes), who signed the strips as "Trog". Rufus, who is credited with some of the drawings in this book, was a character in the comic strip, Flook’s young human friend.

This book is not a reprint of the comics, but is purportedly Flook’s autobiography in narrative, with accompanying illustrations.
Covers are a little creased, but the book is in very good condition for its age, free of notes and inscriptions.
