Product description

Plain blue cloth covered boards with blind stamped margin. Some light staining and marks on the boards.

The spine, discoloured with exposure, has the details in gilt text.

Some wear to the edges of the spine and the bottom edges of the boards and corners. The corners are slightly bumped.

Black pastedowns and end-papers.

Crack in binding between ffe and half-title page. There are several other cracks to the binding but there is nothing loose.

Endpapers and page ends heavily foxed, but the main text suffers only small number of marks.

There is an inscription in pencil on the half-title page dated 1886.

The fold-out map opposite the title page is intact, but with a small 1.5 cm tear at the top of the hinge.
