This is an early edition of the book, published in 1891 and marked as eighty-first thousand in printing. Contains a number of illustrations and a fold-out map. This copy is in pretty good condition. No dustjacket. Blue outer cover is well rubbed and worn at the edges, especially on the spine, although this is completely intact. Facing pages at both ends are browned. Otherwise interior pages are very clean and legible.

Allan Quatermain's account of his journey through Africa to find the mines of King Solomon is told in fictional style and forms an exciting tale of adventure.
