Le Judgement de Pâris

£80.00

Product description

A series of Poems based upon the Greek mythological tale of the Judgement of Paris. The story follows a contest between Aphrodite, Hera and Athena to determine who was the 'fairest' of the three Goddesses. Paris, the Prince of Troy, was chosen to decide. Aphrodite promised him Helen of Sparta as a wife, and this led to the Trojan War.

This French language book has been rebound, with a marble cover. There is some damage to the spine, indenting in the pages. It is stamped 'Dutilleul Library' , originally printed in 1774 and contains protective paper for the line drawn images.
