Many Thoughts of Many Minds

WAS £60.00 £30.00

Product description

"... Selections From the Writings of the Most Celebrated Authors from the Earliest to the Present Time."

Full leather binding with very thick and heavy bevel-edged boards. All surfaces blind-stamped with a rectangular framework with gilt decoration in some boxes. The spine has 6 raised bands with similar decoration and the details in gilt text.

The hinge of the front board is cracked after the ffe but is still completely attached to the binding.

The rear board hinge leather is cracked but again is still soundly attached.

There is wear to all external features, with small tears to the leather at the top and bottom of the spine.

All page ends are gilt.

Very colourful marbled endpapers. On the front paste-down is an ex libris sticker.

There is a gift dedication dated 1875 in neat copper-plate writing on the ffe.

Some light foxing to the endpapers but the main text is clean and bright and largely unaffected.

The binding is still tight in many places giving the impression the book has had little use. There are some cracks but the binding is still sound.
