Mates at Billabong

£7.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Mary Grant Bruce (1878 – 1958), also known as Minnie Bruce, was an Australian children's author and journalist. All her thirty-seven books enjoyed popular success in Australia and overseas, particularly in the United Kingdom.

Norah is now 14. She, Jim and Wally do their best to put up with Cecil, the supercilious 19 year-old cousin from town who has come to stay at Billabong for the Christmas holidays. He tries to show off to his Bush relatives with his disdainful city airs but the results are invariably disastrous and highly amusing until he does the unforgiveable and takes Norah’s much-loved pony for a wild ride.

The book has a dust jacket which is not clipped. The front and spine of the dust jacket is in very good condition. The back of the dust jacket appears to have been damp at some time and there is slight soiling, rubbing to the wording, and a small portion is missing. There is a 'Production Dept. File Copy' stamp on the front free end paper. There is slight discolouration to part of the rear free end paper and slight discolouration the edges of some of the last pages in the book. Otherwise, the pages are clean and the binding is tight.
