May Wynne - 2 novels - Peggy's First Term & The Secret of Brick House

£9.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

2 novels by May Wynne.

Peggy's First Term
At first the girls at Rawsdale were doubtful about Peggy. Can you wonder? What would you think if, on her very first day, a new girl - and a red-haired one too - broke into a group of seniors, gravely discussing the composition of the cricket Eleven, with "Guess there are plenty of you! What's your name? I reckon this old school's going to be a lot better than I expected!" But Peg of the Prairie, though new to English ways, has a heart of gold, and time after time during her first term comes triumphantly through the worst of scrapes. And when she risks her life to save a little one's, and is almost buried alive, even her bitterest enemies are won over and she becomes the idol of the school.

This book is believed to have been published in 1954.

The book has a dust jacket which is not price-clipped. There dust jacket shows slight signs of shelf wear and rubbing. There is a publisher's File Copy label affixed to the front of the dust jacket. The front and rear free end papers shows light browning. There is an 'Archive Copy' stamp on the full title page. Internally, the pages are clean and the binding is tight.

The Secret of Brick House
Jean and her unwanted guest, lively Mabs, have holiday adventures.

This book is believed to have been published in 1953/1954.

The book does not have a dust jacket. It has pictorial boards which show slight signs of shelf wear and rubbing. The board is rubbed through in a small area at the edge of the top right of the front. There is an 'Archive Copy' stamp on the full title page. There is light browning to the pages. Otherwise, the pages are clean and the binding is tight.
