Product description

Two volumes bounds as one: Vol 1, viii + 303 pages; Vol 2, vi + 322 pages (inc Index). Maroon cloth boards, with gilt decoration to front board, and gilt titling and decoration to spine. Heavy staining to front board, lesser staining to rear board and to the faded spine. Extremities of the spine are rubbed and worn, as are the corners. Front and rear hinges are weakened, as are one or two internal hinges of Vol 2. Pages are tanned, with occasional foxing, and one or two black spots (possibly printer's ink) affecting the text. A few page corners have been turned down. There is a small amount of annotation, mostly in pencil, with one instance (on the last page of Vol 1) in ink. Overall in good condition.
