Myths of Ife

£19.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Small book in verse. “The author spent several years as an assistant District Officer among the Yorubas in Nigeria and collected the folk lore here presented in blank verse embodying the religious beliefs of the tribe which inhabits a large area in West Africa”.
Erskine MacDonald hardback with intact DJ. Both the DJ and the boards are in a rather unattractive brown/grey and are somewhat grubby. There is some material missing from the upper fifth of the spine cover of the DJ and there is a much smaller area of loss of the spine cover itself with a split of the outside of the upper front hinge. The hinge is functional. There have been depredations over the years by paper louse with characteristic hole in the cover and the outside of both boards. The text block is in good condition. Owner’s name on reverse of front cover. Tanning of end pages.
Realistically priced in view of condition.

Oxfam Books & Music Totnes

Welcome to Totnes Oxfam Shop. Our shop is to be found in The Narrows; an historic part of Totnes town and has become a 'must visit' place for locals and visitors alike. Through the generosity of our local community, the volunteers in the shop, and the world-wide selling community of we have raised tens of thousands of pounds for Oxfam, and in the process developed a reputation for maximising the value of our donations; particularly specialist subject books and classical vinyl. We have many years of experience with online shopping, having a small and friendly group of volunteers specialising in this area, who have a reputation for excellent customer service.
