Blackie hardback with no DJ. Small monogram on outside of front cover. Gilt lettering to spine. Good binding. Some pages are turned down at the top corner, whether by accident or design, from page 203 - 210. Some fingermarks to some of the page margins. Page edges are foxed. There are some pencil annotations opposite the page on measurements and some random letters on the rear end pages. Many engraved illustrations. There are innumerable print on demand copies and some original American editions of 1888, but this is the London first edition.
