Volume One with hand coloured map, engraved title page and engraved dedication followed by preface; indexes of direct roads, cross-roads and Scotch roads(iii-xxix); strip maps 1-187 (last one blank); details of branch roads and finally judges' circuits concluding on p228. Volume Two with engraved title page; strip maps 1-142; branch road details; cross-road strip maps 1-30; cross-road details; roads of Scotland (distances and stops); errata as final page. Scarce as complete set, an 18th century road atlas.
Covers rubbed and hinges/spines cracked. Corners bumped. Bindings tight. Internally most maps very clean and clear, some foxing in later pages cross roads section of vol 2 and pp 215-221 vol 1. Dimensions 11x18cms per volume.
