Hardback, 192 pages, profusely illustrated with 193 amusing b&w illustrations by Charles Keene, John Leech, Phil May, George du Maurier, L Raven.Hill, C. Shepperson, Cecil Aldin, Bernard Partridge, W.J. Hodgson, A.S. Boyd, Tom Browne, Reginald Cleaver, Charles Pears, H.M Brock and others. No dustjacket. Cover, in light brown, gilt and black pictorial boards with black titling to spine and front and gilt bands to spine, is in good, clean and bright condition with just minor shelfwear. Internally the book is in good, clean and firm condition throughout commensurate with age with clear and bright text pages and illustrations and no tears, creases, inscriptions or significant marks. Some foxing to endpapers. Sub-titled 'The Humours of Fishing and Shooting', this is a wonderful collection of amusing extracts from Punch magazine from the late 19thC with a wealth of excellent and entertaining illustrations by some of the leading artists of the time.
