Popular novel by Elizabeth Wetherell, pseudonym for Susan Bogert Warner 1819-1885, American writer and author of 'The Wide, Wide World'. Queechy was first published 1852. The first English edition was published by Milner in 1854, and this copy has the same pagination.
Cover is slightly worn at top and bottom of spine, with small tear on the inside of front cover by spine. Corners slightly worn, and bent, particularly front bottom corner. Cover otherwise very clean and bright. Page edges darkening, a few bent corners. Pages and yellow endpapers slightly darkened by age. Binding tight. Owner's inscription on front endpaper, dated 1876, with additional inscription dated 1918. A tiny copy of a popular book.
