Historical Records of the 91st Argyllshire Highlanders: Now the 1st Battalion Princess Louise's Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. Containing an Account of the Formation of the Regiment in 1794, and its Subsequent Services to 1881 by Captain G. L. Goff. Published by Richard Bentley and Son, 1891.

The opening colour lithographic frontispiece of "The Colours of the Regiment" is by Vincent Brooks, Day and Son, Inc. and there are numerous colour and B/W illustrations throughout the text. Includes coverage of the South African frontier wars 1847-1848 and 1851-1853 and Zulu War.

Hardback first edition in fair condition. Brightly bound copy in pale orange/mustard cloth with decoration on spine, gilt lettered titles, regimental crest on front and designs. Main defect is the spine, which is quite loosely attached to both the front and back covers. Lightly worn at edges. Also some writing in cover page (a name and date). Otherwise good condition - no visible writing and few marks on pages.
