Roland Furieux Volume 4

£24.99

Product description

An unusual 18th century book, this is the 4th volume of an epic poem called 'Roland Furieux poeme heroique de l'arioste'
It is unusual as it has a French and an Italian version of the poem. It is a chivalric romance originally from the medeival tradition of such epics. The poem runs to 10 volumes and is the longest European poem.

This is volume four. It is bound in leather, with a ridged spine. The spine is well rubbed, but the title is still clear, written in gold colour. The boards are again, well used, but intact. The card is showing through at the back bottom right corner. All the corners are bumped. Inside the pages are slightly foxed but are tightly bound.

This, for its age, is a good readable copy of this book.

Oxfam Books & Music Olney

Welcome to Oxfam Books And Music Olney, situated just off the market square in Stanley Court opposite the Co-op. Come and browse our extensive selection of books, music, DVDs, computer games and cards. In our shop you can discover a great range of material from the latest modern fiction to classic literature and vintage LPs. We are always happy to receive your donations of books or music, and you can choose to Gift Aid them to Oxfam. We might also be able to collect particularly large donations - just ask. We are always interested in hearing from people who wish to volunteer with us. Just pop in to collect an application form.

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
