Scouting For Boys

£29.99

Product description

This book is the 22nd (Memorial) edition of Lord Baden-Powell's famous book. It is a softback book with red cloth coverings to front, rear and spine. The front cover includes the book title and author's and publisher's names together with a picture of two scouts. All this is in black. The spine includes the book title (plus memorial edition), price (4 shillings) and author's name in black. The corners are heavily bumped and are curling and bending, primarily due to the soft covering of the book. There is heavy shelf wear especially at the spine. The hinges are beginning to show signs of looseness as are some individual pages. However, no pages have been lost. All pages are discoloured and there is foxing to some edges. The last few pages (301 to 328) all show signs of water damage towards the top edge. The front and rear covers also show water damage with the front cover having a white cup ring mark. As well as showing signs of water damage, the rear cover also has dirt marks. The front free endpaper has written information about a (presumably) previous owner which includes a name stamp. This stamp can also be made out on the front cover over the author's name. The book is illustrated with drawings of scouting topics throughout.
