These publications are sold as a pair. The first 'Some Jungle Trees and Their Uses' is dated July 1944. It is a field guide for soldiers and contains a mixture of black and white and colour botanical illustrations, with descriptions of the trees. It was issued by G. (Trg.) H.Q. Southern Army. The booklet has stitched binding which is sound overall, however, the first page and the bottom corner of the cover are coming away from the spine. The date of the second publication 'The Edible Jungle Fruits' is not stated. It contains colour botanical illustrations of jungle fruit (see example in this listing) and was Issued by The Chief of General Staff, India. The first and second pages are torn at the bottom, they do however remain readable and the stapled spine is intact.
