Plain blue cloth covered boards, similar spine, now faded, with the book details and ruled margins in red print. No jacket.

Wear around edges and top and bottom of the spine. Staining to the rear board.

Corners bumped.

Hinges and binding in good order.

Small bookseller's sticker at bottom hinge corner of the front pastedown.

Bottom and outer page ends deckled. It appears some pages, around 167-178, were originally uncut and have been torn when later separated.

Heavy foxing to the early and later pages but the main text is not badly affected.

Inscription on ffe.

6 pages of adverts at the back.
