Blue cloth boards with red, black and gilt decoration. Page edges all gilt. Some rubbing to the edges of the cover.
The book contains 120 coloured chromo images of various Scottish scenes, split into sections including the City of Edinburgh, Edinburgh and it's environs, the City of Glasgow, the scenery of the Clyde, the Trosachs and Loch Katrine, Loch Lomond, the West Highlands, the Caledonian Canal, and Perth to Braemar. Each section contains 12 images, with two to a page. Each page of images has a paper interleaf protector. In addition there is a full page frontispiece image of the Forth Rail Bridge.
There is some foxing in the book, but the images are largely unaffected - most of the foxing is on the non-image pages. In addition the paper protector for the frontispiece is nearly detached.
In all this is a good, clean tight copy of a delightful book, with only minor age related issues.
