This scarce Puffin book of delightful short stories by Patricia Lynch was first published in 1946. Patricia Lynch (c. 1894 – 1972) was an Irish children's writer and a journalist. She was the author of some 48 novels and 200 short stories. She is best known for blending Irish rural life and fantasy fiction as in The Turf-Cutter's Donkey.

Some rubbing wear and foxing marks to the cover, with a small split at the top of the spine. Some foxing on the end papers, and there is a price written in ink on the inside cover. The binding is sound. Fair to good condition overall.
