The Arabian Nights' Entertainments [1842]

£39.99

Product description

Published in 1842 by Charles Daly. Printed in small type face.

Originally translated by the Rev. Edward Forster this has been carefully revised and corrected by G Moir Bussey who has also written an introduction of some 34 pages. A fascinating old edition, containing more than sixty of the classic stories, which have been enjoyed by all ages.

There is a long gift inscription in the front written in attractive cursive style, dated 1844; together with a later name, dated 1904.

Unfortunately the covers have separated from the book, the spine strip is missing, and a couple of pages are loose at the back. However the body of the book is complete and the binding of the main part is sound. Overall in reasonable condition for a volume that is over 170 years old.
