The British Journal Photographic Almanac and Photographer's Daily Companion 1947

£8.99

Product description

The British Journal Photographic Alamanac was first produced in the 1860's but early copies are scarce. This 1947 Almanac consist of 442 pages of which over 100 are advertisements for cameras and other photographic equipment. In addition there are detailed and illustrated articles describing the latest camera equipment and photographic techniques and how to take photographs of different subjects along with a guide on exposure, focal length and all aspects on how to use your camera. An invaluable resource for anyone interested in the history of photography.

Includes 32 Vandyke photogravure pictures.

The book itself is in fair condition for it's age. The binding has loosened, but all pages are intact. The pages have yellowed and there have grubby edges through much use. Both front and back boards have been knocked and scratched and the spine covering is missing. Despite this, it is still a delightful almanac with many facts that are still relevant today. The history of cameras and equipment contained within would be of great interest to anyone with an interest in the subject.
